What exactly is Boreout?

It should be noted that people suffering from boreout are by no means lazy employees. It is usually the fear of losing their job that makes them resort to the strategies mentioned above and feign stress.
But let's be honest: in the end, the person affected is only fooling themselves. The result of such behavior is usually frustration, depression and a drop in self-confidence.
As a person affected, you should think about how you can break this vicious circle. You could look around your own work environment or department to see if you can support colleagues or your superior. Or maybe you have the opportunity to offer to work on various projects or even take on projects yourself.
As an employee, you should signal that you still have free capacity and would like to take on new challenges. If this strategy does not work, you can also consider changing jobs.
Not only stress and burnout in the professional world, but also boredom and under-stimulation, i.e. boreout, make people sick.
Consequences such as listlessness, tiredness, frustration and even depression can set in. Ultimately, everyone needs fulfillment in their work or wants to go home satisfied at the end of a working day.
