Learn correctly - school and life

This sentence will probably be pronounced so fast no child. But if you look a bit behind the facade, then you see how much truth is in these words.

Learning is fun - and so children can learn properly

Children are born of curiosity. They like to try new things, discover everything with joy and see everything with an open view. All this is basically nothing but learning.

Everyone immediately connects the word “learn” to school. Few children like to go to school, and curiosity is increasingly lost with increasing pressure to perform. Studies have shown that the human brain first finds something new interesting. If something is classified as interesting, everyone is having fun doing it. So why don't many students find the school interesting?

"You learn for your life"

You learn for life and not for the teacher or for mother and father. This saying seems to be very worn out, but that's the way it is.

Even the smallest ones are under enormous pressure at school. The teachers, the timetables, the work and the credentials do not provide for a relaxed learning. Your child should understand that not only does the single unpopular lesson have to be done as quickly as possible, but that the knowledge of this lesson can be missed in later life.

Knowledge and learning is important in order to master life. Even if your child can not understand that, you should explain it to him over and over again.

Even failure is part of life

Even if you take up knowledge, that does not mean that you have understood it. The children are the same. Failure and frustration are part of life and no mother can prevent that.

The parents can only ensure that the child learns to deal with the frustration and also with failure. Not only reward your child for high grades, but praise the child for the effort and time it has invested in learning, even if it has not been successful.

Do not underestimate the right environment for learning

Even at school, the children have a permanent place. Therefore, a desk or a permanent workplace should be available at home as well.

While learning, other siblings should not run around the house in rage. Because then concentration is really not possible. Also, the TV or the radio should remain off. With our tips, your child will hopefully soon say: "Learning is fun"

Learning is not so easy. For one child it is very difficult, for the other not at all. If your child is having a hard time learning to learn, how can you, as a parent, help your child and make learning easier?

Increase motivation and learn better

Almost every kid in school has his favorite subjects and then courses that he particularly enjoys. But it can also be exactly the opposite. An event suddenly changes the interests!

Children like to be distracted and are very open to anything of any kind. An hour that was originally intended for learning is spent on the phone or on a smartphone.

The learning material in theory is very dry and does not necessarily increase motivation. If your child can make friends with the learning material, then you show him ways that make learning easier and increase motivation.

Use the natural properties of your child

Children are usually curious and inquisitive. They are creative, love colors and like to make things of all kinds themselves.

Especially with the toys, there are meanwhile games that are fun, entertain and convey knowledge in a playful way. If it's not all about learning, then your kid will catch a lot of knowledge by the way. So you can make learning easier for your child, without it even realizes that it learns.

You can also find various pages on the Internet that bring you closer to creative tasks in a playful way. If you show your child appealing characters who may even move and speak, then it will certainly be thrilling. This ensures concentration and your child will be happy to deal with it.

Learning in everyday life

Learn with your child in daily life without even realizing it. In the supermarket in the queue you can count the amounts together. The winner gets an ice cream, the loser, of course.

If your favorite English song is on the radio then ask a few words. When driving, encourage your child to read the road signs.

Read out

Children love stories. Tell your child beautiful and interesting stories and talk about them. If you tell fairytales that you think up for yourself, then the expression of the language will be trained.

Encourage your child to come up with stories for himself, it stimulates the mind and inspires the imagination and the language can be consolidated. There are some ways to increase motivation to learn from your child.

Let us commemorate all the desperate mothers who have to survive the homework horror every day with their little ones. Of course, this does not apply to everyone and there should even be children who find it really great to do their jobs after school.

"Help, homework" - How to motivate elementary school children!

Do not worry, every child has talents and abilities that are not just protests and discussions. We just have to find it between all that "I do not want, I can not, that's stupid and I do not do that".

Why this daily discussion?

Of course we know better today - homework in the 1 or 2 class is done in a maximum of 20 minutes, more playful and with a bit of concentration and three sharpened crayons, the average student can do it in a few minutes. But not my first year, who probably has not understood the seriousness of life yet. Presumably, this is exactly the problem - where are the little ones because even only can guess what is still "much worse" on them. How are they to realize now that sleeping is really great and boredom is not so bad as expected. So let's take a look at them when the topic of homework is over again. They just do not know it better.

Of course there are a thousand other reasons why children like to discuss this point. But if we think about it, why should not they? Why should not they question things as well? I guess many children not only do not recognize the "seriousness of the situation", but simply do not recognize any benefit behind all the letters and numbers. So let us basically enjoy the fact that our child begins to question the things that the system wants to cheat on them.

It still has to be!

Yes, because we know better. But instead of having to discuss it every day, we have to find ways that make sense to the child. And I'm not talking about bribery. Okay, sometimes that also works, in the long run to stuff the child with Süßkram, just because it has painted the orange with the monkey right, also makes less sense - in the long term I mean. So what can we do to properly motivate our child?

Motivation tips for the homework

First of all: Every child has their own motivation. And they just have to be found in terms of homework. Exactly - find the motivation of your child! Or: Find out what kind of learning or concentration type the child is. Once these things have been found out, the problem of "homework is stupid" might soon be over.

Motivation environment

The learning environment makes a lot of things, also in terms of motivation. A cluttered workspace that is perhaps noisy and free from daylight is less inviting. Create your own learning place with your child that meets the typical requirements. Many children already manage to do their homework and do it quickly.

Motivation - the time

There are children, as well as adults, who can work more effectively and better under time pressure. Of course this does not mean that we should create an additional stress factor called time, and this method is not suitable for every child. If you still want to try it: Certain tasks should be done in a certain amount of time (10 short arithmetic tasks in 3 minutes). Place an alarm clock on the workstation and ask the child if it wants to try to do the work before the alarm rings. Or: "How many tasks do you manage in just 3 minutes?" There are many children who like to accept the challenge. Do some kind of homework!

Motivation - cards and stickers

Rewarding principles do not just have to consist of sweets. There are quite a few children who can be motivated differently. For example with diligence stickers or small cards to collect. Every possible rewards system is possible here. If the child has collected a certain number of points, then they may choose something at the next purchase, determine the next day's trip or stay up an hour longer. Unfortunately, the "I work longer on a goal" does not necessarily work for every child.

The child determines the process

Sometimes kids just want to decide for themselves when to do something. So how about trying to tell your child what's in store today? In order to then decide for yourself, when it does something? So just write a list of things to do today:

  • 17: 00 clock riding lesson
  • 13: 00 clock lunch
  • do homework
  • Clean rabbit hutch
  • Clean out the dishwasher
  • 20: 00 clock bed

Just ask the child how he wants to plan his day. Sounds weird now, but kids are well able to take on that kind of responsibility. It also learns to structure its day and fulfill its responsibilities on its own responsibility. And it notices how long it takes for a particular thing. You will be astonished, because even children are inclined to do the uglier things first. And all without a command from above.

And never forget - praise, praise, praise

Nothing rewards a child more than the praise of the parents. Now and then look the child over his shoulder and praise him for his beautiful writing, for a difficult task or the speed. No matter - children want to please their parents, they want to do it right and want to make their parents proud. And now it's our turn to tell our kids exactly that, "I'm proud of you!" We're, too, because we were probably not a bit better.
