With a little luck, you'll get through kindergarten together and then move on to school. Of course, our children continue to develop during their elementary school years. As a result, some friendships fade away, while others grow much stronger.
You do your homework together, spend your afternoons and maybe even your weekends together. If things go really well, you might even spend your vacations together, because maybe your parents are friends too.
Since children sometimes develop differently at school, they may end up attending different schools after elementary school. High school often puts long-standing friendships to the test.
