When you hear the word "cocktail" you first think of summer, sun and vacation, but cocktails are also available in the cold season. If you come home frozen, a hot cocktail will warm you up. But even when summer has started and the garden party season is open, delicious cocktails are a must. Whether with or without alcohol, cocktails are a nice refreshment, especially in summer. The recipes are very easy to recreate at home.
Hot cocktails for the cold season
Liqueurs or juices from citrus fruits that are available during the harvest season are often used. Mandarins and oranges are particularly suitable. But exotic fruits such as figs or pomegranates also belong in the hot cocktails. Of course, flavors such as almonds, cinnamon or cloves are also a must in winter recipes.

Hot Limoncello Cocktail
For the cocktail you need: 2 glasses of 2 cl Limoncello, 2 x 2 cl water, 1 cl elderflower syrup with alpine herbs, 1 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice, 0,5 tsp powdered sugar, 1 slice of lemon and sugar. Rub the edge of the cocktail glass with lemon juice and press it onto a plate with sugar. Cut a slice of lemon in half and then stick it on the glass for decoration. Mix the remaining ingredients with powdered sugar and heat slowly. Do not let it boil. Pour the drink into the cocktail glass and enjoy.
Hot chocolate cocktail
You need: 150 ml milk, 30 g dark chocolate, 2 cl wheat kernel, 2 cl peppermint liqueur, 2 cl apricot liqueur, whipped cream or fresh peppermint. Heat the milk and then remove from the heat. Dissolve the chocolate in it. Pour the peppermint liqueur, apricot liqueur and wheat kernel into a heat-resistant glass. Pour the hot chocolate milk over it. Stir and garnish with cream and peppermint. Decorate with some chocolate sprinkles if desired.
Hot Apple Pie Punch
For this cocktail you need: 1 liter of cider, 1 liter of Calvados, 1 liter of rum, 125 g of raisins, 4 cinnamon sticks, 16 cloves, 4 star anise and 1 apple. First, soak the raisins in dark rum for about two hours. Cut the apple into small pieces. Put all the ingredients in a pot and heat slowly.
Hot Toddy
